Mini-notebook brain
This past summer I was at home resting. As a result, I didn’t have a long list of things to do every day. And because I’m always about dreaming up new ways to get organized, I started using yet another new system!
This one uses a cute little Ecosystem notebook. (See my previous blog about Ecosystem notebooks if you love notebooks.)
I clip a 3×5 card on the front for jotting down the things to do that day. Asterisked items are things I really do need to get done by the end of the day.
Inside the notebook, I have a “grasscatcher” list to collect all the loose odds and ends of things I need to do. Because this notebook is perforated, if there ever is a day I finish this list I can just tear it out and toss it!
I also have a page to jot notes, a page of prayer requests, and a page of contact information. I use Levenger Page Points to help me find the different types of pages I have in the notebook. (They don’t sell Page Points any more but have replaced them with Page Nibs.)
The notebook also has a little pocket in the back for me to keep extra notes or receipts.
It’s super handy to throw in my purse or carry around with me. At night, it’s on my nightstand next to me so I can jot any notes during the night if I need to.
The card in front keeps my to-do list in front of me and I’ve found this system to be super handy. Plus, it’s cute and I can get notebooks in different colors!

I love this idea! I have definitely been thinking about implementing it. Problem is … I have a home/school desk downstairs and a work desk upstairs so sometimes I am running back and forth and can’t find my lists. So I ended up using the computer for to-do’s (not as fun as paper though).
