Mini-notebook brain

This past summer I was at home resting. As a result, I didn’t have a long list of things to do every day. And because I’m always about dreaming up new ways to get organized, I started using yet another new system!

10-minute random menu planning

Written by Angela Yee. Posted in Systems and Ideas

If you are at all indecisive, you can probably relate to the agony that I go through when it’s time to plan a menu. Everything looks so good… what to cook? What about all those recipes I clipped? And my cookbooks? Decisions… decisions… argh!

But now the problem is solved. With my current menu planning system, I now plan my menu in less than 10 minutes!

Desk shuffling

Written by Angela Yee. Posted in Systems and Ideas

Yesterday I made just one tiny slight change to my desk… and it has made a ton of difference! It’s amazing how just turning something at a different angle can make a space more efficient and effective. And it didn’t even cost anything.

Sticky Note Task System

Some people like to pick organizers that are colorful and fun. (I never could understand why people would buy the standard one-color planners year after year.)

I love this idea! I have definitely been thinking about implementing it. Problem is … I have a home/school desk downstairs and a work desk upstairs so sometimes I am running back and forth and can’t find my lists. So I ended up using the computer for to-do’s (not as fun as paper though).

These notebooks look cool! I’m wondering if you mean by “moleskin alternative” that they are not made of moleskin. Or maybe moleskin is a brand and not a type of material?

Forgot to say – once you realize you are indecisive and that actually trying to “make the best decision” is probably the most inefficient thing to do, then just opt for the quickest method. In this case, the result doesn’t matter that much, so you can do that. Whereas in something like making a big purchase, you just have to take the time to make the best decision.
