To-Do's: Card Task System
If you find delight in throwing things away, try using a card system. There is something physically satisfying about shuffling different cards for tasks and then tossing one into the garbage can (or, preferably, recycling can!) when you are done. To be environmentally-friendly, I use old business cards that would have been tossed anyway. It’s quite amazing how many old boxes of business cards my family has accumulated over the years due to job changes!

Write one task per card. Every day, go through your pile and separate them by priority. (I put the current task card on top of my laptop computer where I am working in case I get interrupted and forget what I was doing.)

Then, when you’re done, toss it the card! Not only have you completed your task, but you now have a less cluttered desk! Win-win!

Take a look at my article that has photos of the binder system and card bleachers that I use to organize my cards and other ideas for organizing tasks.
